Jalapeño Cheeseburger Sliders
These sliders are a crowd-pleaser at any gathering! Our Jalapeno Monterey Jack cheese balances spicy and bold flavours to ensure your guests will be reaching for seconds.

- 12 mini-Hawaiian rolls
- 170 g Bothwell Jalapeño Monterey Jack (cut into 2mm slices- 2 per slider)
- 454 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 15 g (1 tbsp) Montreal steak spice
- 12 pickle slices
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced
- Sauteed onions
- Mayonnaise
- 30 g (2 tbsp) Gay Lea butter, melted (for brushing)
- 5 g (1 tsp) sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
Sliders
- Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
- Mix ground beef with Montreal steak spice, then divide into 12 x 40 g portions.
- Form into patties and bake for 4–6 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 180°F (82°C).
Assembly:
- Slice the rolls in half and place bottom buns on an oven safe tray, then layer beef patty, sauteed onions, pickle, sliced jalapeño, and sliced Bothwell Jalapeño Monterey Jack.
- Bake for 2 minutes, until cheese is melted
- Spread mayonnaise on top buns, place over sliders, then brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve warm.
