Charred Green Salad with Herbs & Garlic Cheddar

A light and refreshing salad made with roasted fennel, greens and Non-GMO Project Verified Sunny Dog Barkin' Herbs and Garlic Cheddar.

Ingredients

  1. One fennel, roasted
  2. Mixed greens and arugula
  3. Balsamic glaze
  4. Non-GMO Project Verified Sunny Dog Barkin' Herbs and Garlic Cheddar, crumbled and/or sliced

Directions

  1. Place roasted fennel on a plate (recipe below)
  2. Place strips of  Non-GMO Project Verified Sunny Dog Barkin' Herbs and Garlic Cheddar around the outside of the plate
  3. Place arugula in the centre of plate
  4. Place mixed greens on top of arugula
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze
  6. Top salad with crumbled Non-GMO Project Verified Sunny Dog Barkin' Herbs and Garlic Cheddar

Roasted Fennel

  1. Chop fennel and place on parchment lined baking sheet
  2. Place in preheated 425°F oven.
  3. Bake for 7-9 minutes to allow the natural sugars to come out. Brown colour is desirable, burning is not.
    Chef D Tip: You can use oil, but it really isn't needed.
