Recipe Creator: Chef John

If you like spice, then you'll love this spicy smoky BBQ pizza. Made with three different cheeses, there is no shortage of cheesy goodness on every slice!

  • 6 oz. pizza dough
  • 3 Tbsp. BBQ sauce
  • 2 slices Medium Cheddar, 2 slices Red Hot Chili Pepper, 2 slices Mozzarella from Bothwell 450g Sliced Variety Pack, cut in halves
  • 1 oz. shredded chicken
  • 6 slices jalapeños
  • 1 oz. smoked diced bacon, precooked
  • .5 oz. pickled cabbage
  • Crispy fried onions

  1. Heat the pizza stone in oven or grill for 15 minutes at 450 degrees F
  2. Pre cook bacon ahead of time and allow to drain on a paper towel
  3. Roll out pizza dough ¼" thick with a diameter of 10." Use plenty of flour under your dough when rolling out the dough or semolina flour. This will allow you to slide the pizza peel under the pizza
  4.  Spread BBQ sauce on the edge of the dough
  5. Top with pickled cabbage, sliced cheese, jalapeños, shredded chicken and bacon
  6. Sprinkle with crispy onions
  7. Slide pizza off on to hot pizza stone and cook for 8 – 9 minutes with the lid closed. Cheese should be melted and the crust should be golden brown
