Steak & Caramelized Onion Grilled Cheese

This is a hearty grilled cheese sandwich! Made with two different cheeses from our Sliced Variety Pack, this easy 5 minute sandwich is made with only 5 ingredients. This is the perfect recipe for leftover steak. Making it on the grill adds even more flavour.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of thick sourdough bread
- 2 slices of Mozzarella from Bothwell 450g Sliced Variety Pack or 720g Sliced Variety Pack
- 2 slices of Red Hot Chili Pepper Monterey Jack from Bothwell 450g Sliced Variety Pack
- 6 slices of leftover steak 2 tbsp caramelized onions
Directions
- Preheat the grill to low-medium heat.
- Place 1 slice of the bread onto the grill and layer with mozzarella, steak, caramelized onions, and red hot chili slices, topping with the other slice of bread.
- Cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, turning off the grill if needed, or until perfectly crisp and the cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
